“A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.”
–Diane Arbus
Though I am not generally a fan of secrets (for various reasons; see Therapy 101), Diane Arbus nailed it about photographs. That’s why they always draw us in. Are we really seeing what we think we are seeing? Or is there more here than meets the eye?
Study a photograph today to see if it gives up its secrets to you. Happy conjuring. ♣

I’ve had people point thing out in photos I’ve taken that I initially did not see. They can be filled with imagery and meaning well beyond first glimpse – you give us good advice 🙂

Well, I must humbly say I’m repeating the insight of the amazing Diane Arbus, but however we learn, it’s great. Glad you can relate to this, thanks for commenting, Maya.
