Serenity takes many forms. But for me, there is no scene more serene than the quiet one I’ll find along the Gulf shore at day’s end. ♣

Beautiful colors, Jann, and I like having the majority of the photo be sky.

Before I take too much credit for that, I’ll confess that the sky was where it was at. I really appreciate that you took the time to say so.

Just lovely, Jann. And the composition that I would never think to try works beautifully!

Good of you to say so, Stacy. Why not this composition? I’ll admit to going horizontal whenever I’m shooting a landscape scene, but that is a bit of a challenge when the moon’s risen too high . . .

I do tend to shoot horizontally most of the time too. What I meant about the composition is having the horizon being so low in the frame. I realized it was likely driven by exactly what you said – the position of the moon – but it works beautifully. I tend to do the expected 1/3. This has opened my eyes to new possibilities 🙂

I agree to serenity being found at any seaside location (for me, anyway). Lovely photo.

And especially at that time of day when the beach goers have gone. Thank you for your comments, Angeline.

Despite having just finished my morning cappuccino, I must be looking for serenity because your tweet pulled me in, and lucky me: I found this photo. I’d call that a win.

I love hearing that, Barbara. Glad a bit of serenity worked its way through the caffeine! Thanks for taking time to comment.
