What better way to represent the forces of nature than to show its eternal cycle from life through dying to death? That’s the endless loop that repeats in Big Bend National Park, Texas, whenever an agave comes to life.

  1. The entire cycle of life in three photos. Hopefully it would take a few more for we humans, but your three worked perfectly for the agave. I was in Big Bend many, many moons ago when I was little. Have to go again one of these days.

    Have a great weekend, Jann.

  2. Love your perspective on the life cycle, Janet. Big Bend is so fabulous. Truthfully I could have chosen from thousands of images I’ve made there to illustrate it, but as you know, condensed is better. Hope you get there again soon.

  3. Until reading your comment I didn’t realise Big Bend is a place and was imagining the bend in a road. You have certainly shown the continuing cycle of nature with birth and life and death and these are certainly forces that none of us can fight.

  5. Wow! These describe my day well. The brilliant one is me at about 1:00 pm when my brain catches up with my body – already in progress. The middle one is me at bedtime. The last one is me first thing in the morning. Hey. Mirrors don’t lie! Nice pics and a great theme.
