Lined Up and Ready to Jump In

Teton Twilight at Colter Bay by Jann Alexander ©2014

The kayaks sat on the bank peacefully, overturned, their startling color vivid in a moonlight that bathed everything else in graduated shades of blue. They looked ready to jump into the fray of city vacationers who were eager to paddle out onto Colter Bay into the Jackson Lake wilderness the next day, hoping to grab some of the serenity that accompanies flat-water kayaking beneath the Grand Tetons.

Photographed with my iPhone 5s in HDR mode, edited onsite in my Google Snapseed app and later in my studio with Adobe Lightroom. For more of my iPhoneography, take a look HERE.

  1. Hi, Jann. These days I use Snapseed the most for photo editing. I like the desktop version more than the mobile one because big fingers on small screens are not a problem.

    1. Hi Allan, I try but never do find anything better than Snapseed unless I’m after some wacky effect. Thanks for the headsup about the desktop version, I didn’t know that! Will give it a look. Where can I see some your Snapseed-edited shots?

      1. If you go to the search box in the upper right corner of my blog and enter the word, “snapseed”, you will get all of my posts that have an image with .snapseed at the end of the file name.

Thanks in advance for taking a look around.I do have other photos that have a combination of apps other than SnapSeed and I don’t know of an easy way to find them.

    1. Thanks for taking the time to read and make the connection, Tina! That’s high praise for a writer who’s an artist who’s a writer. I feel that photographs are so much more with words added. Appreciate it!

  2. This is a gorgeous color photo. I am a little bit red-and-green color-blind, but I love color and color contrast. This is color vivid enough for me to really see and fall in love with it.
